White wine, fruity, aromas of roses and ripe fruits, intense on the nose and in the mouth.
Food and wine pairings:
Ideal as an aperitif or with Foie Gras, or spicy dishes of strong cheeses such as Munster or Roquefort, and for dessert.
Gewurztraminer is the king of Alsatian grape varieties, it is a pink-grained grape variety, from the Traminers family. It is also called aromatic pink savagnin. Its history is long confused with that of the pink savagnin and for good reason: it comes from the latter grape variety of which it is a more aromatic variety.
