Welcome to Domaine Lutz

Domaine Rémy Lutz is a family farm, where the know-how of growing vines and wine has been passed on from father to son for 3 generations. It was Camille, Rémy’s grandfather, who started selling in bottles more importantly in the aftermath of the Second World War. Roland, then Rémy developed the estate, combining traditions, know-how and modern techniques.

Located in Bourgheim between Barr and Obernai, at the foot of Mont Saint Odile, the vineyard of the farm is conducted in reasoned viticulture. It extends over more than 9 hectares and 6 different communes of the Foothills of the Vosges. We are Independent Winegrowers attached to traditions and terroirs but turned towards new techniques both for the work of the vine and in the field of winemaking. Concerned about the preservation of our environment and a sustainable cultivation method, certified High Environmental Value (HVE3), we began in 2020 a process towards a conversion to organic farming.

Our wines come from the 7 traditional grape varieties of the AOC Alsace: Sylvaner, Pinot blanc, Riesling, Muscat, Pinot gris, Pinot noir and Gewurztraminer. Klevener de Heiligenstein is the 8th grape variety of Alsace which is produced in only 5 municipalities around Heiligenstein. Among our terroir wines, you can find among others: Ottrott Red, Riesling Mittellaeng, Gewurztraminer Mittel Aue.

Our flagship products are the finely fruity and effervescent Crémants d’Alsace, which we elaborate according to the traditional method in Brut white, Semi-dry white and Rosé. We also have the « cuvées vieille vignes », Pinot Noir Rosé, Cuvée des Lutz’ik and Prestige.
